THOMAS LENTZ

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas James Lentz, born on September 3, 1956, who left us on December 6, 2023. A loving, creative and full-of-life individual, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and lov

He is survived by his cherished wife, Bonnie Lentz, whom he married in 1984. Together, they welcomed their son, Michael, in 1987 and daughter, Gabrielle, in 1989. Thomas was deeply proud to be a grandfather to Charlee and Lennon Lentz. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Alex Lentz, and his sister, Carol Lentz. He was predeceased by his parents, John Charles and Mary Eileen Lentz, and his brother, John Lentz.

Known for his strong faith, Thomas was a dedicated Pastor of the Jesus House. Having been born again on November 24, 1984, he devoted his life to practicing and sharing the teachings of Christianity. His favorite book was The Word of God, and he was moved by the hymn ‘Hosanna in The Highest.’  A man of the arts, his favorite art  was painting the face of the Lord Jesus Christ for the world to see.

Thomas was always active, enjoying walks as well as spending time with family and friends. He often could be found sitting by a campfire, playing solitaire, or singing passionately to his God whom he loved with all His heart. Thomas treasured his times at Cloud Nine Ranch, his favorite vacation spot. His favorite color was red, a reflection of his vibrant spirit.

A man of humble heart and generous spirit, Thomas was passionate about helping the poor and needy in his community and spreading the Gospel of His Lord Jesus Christ. He taught others how to love like Jesus loved. His legacy of being a faithful husband, father and friend will forever be remembered.

The world is a little dimmer because his bright light is now shining in heaven. He will be deeply missed, but his faith and love will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him.
