“Drac” is the Patriarch of the Gibson family. He has been an industry leader for over 31 years, producing, developing, performing with, and promoting artists from the ground floor.
When Drac was six years old, his mother got saved at a “Holy Roller” Church and began taking the family to church every Sunday. He grew up with great spiritual sensitivity and knowledge of God, but not at peace with God. Drac had his own encounter with God at that time but struggled to stay on the right path.
In his teen years, he got his first bass guitar and discovered that music was where God had gifted him. After many struggles between his faith and following a worldly path, Drac re-dedicated his life to Christ and became a true Disciple.
For this reason, Drac believes it is imperative to meet Youth and Millennials right where they are. The Millennial generation has little interest in going to Church. The Church does not speak their language.
The whole purpose of Da Funky Vadican is to utilize Drac’s experience as a Musician, Mentor, and Father, combined with the Musical and Artistic gifts and talents of each member of his family, to bridge the gap between the Church and the un-Churched Millennial Generation.
In the music business, he began working with Warner Brothers writing with Prince, where he was a part of producing backing tracks for artists such as TLC, Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Babyface, Bootsy Collins, Tedd T, Carman, Dez Dickerson and many more in movie rolls and in studios.
Many artists he has produced and developed have been signed to recording deals and won Grammy, Dove, AMA, MTV, BET, and many other awards. Drac himself has been nominated for a Grammy for “Disciples Of Christ” and several DoveAwards.
As a Video Producer, Drac has worn many hats including Director, Sound and Set Designer, Videographer, and Video Editor He has worked on projects with such stars like Flo Rida, T-Pain, Wynonna Ryder, Day 26, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Rick Ross, Gary Chapman, Yung Joc, Sean Paul, Mack 10, Bryan “Baby The Bird Man” Williams, Cash Money Records, Lil’ Wayne, Young Money, Atlantic Records, Sony Records, Star Song Records, BMG, Paisley Park, Lions Gate, and Warner Brothers, just to name a few. Drac won the International Crystal Jade Award for his video/music/sound production for Totino GraceChristian School Academy.
Drac started Phadid Entertainment as a way to build up and empower the youth of America and help music artists launch careers. He opened a video division to prepare for the new paradigm shift where every artist must have a great video presence.
