Earl Monroe Hilton, 75, husband of Sharon Ann Hilton, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his earthly home in Georgetown, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 26, 1948, inĀ San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Charles Monroe Hilton and Ellen E. Hilton Dever. Earl served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior in May 1976 and was a gifted singer, song writer and guitarist, and played the harmonica and ukulele. Earl devoted his life to sharing the love of Jesus with everyone and enjoyed worshipping the Lord through the songs God had given him over the years. Earl let the light of Jesus shine through his life in all he did and enjoyed helping others. Earl’s message would be to ensure that you have also asked Jesus into your heart as this earth is just our temporary home, eternity is for real, and Jesus is coming back soon. After retiring from Toyota, he was a Scott County School bus driver, and later took his love for the outdoors to employment by creating Veterans Mowing.
Down through the years, Earl, Sharon and their daughter Heather ministered through music at nursing homes, children’s church ministries and led praise and worship together. Earl also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and so greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored and loved so well.
Earl will be lovingly remembered and beyond words missed with his memory forever cherished by his devoted wife of almost 54 years, Sharon A. Scott Hilton, daughter, Heather Lynn Hilton Church (Jonathan), Georgetown; sister, Carolyn Hilton Poore (Jim), Louisville; brother, John Hilton (Denise) Louisville; grandchildren, Jacob, Aaron, Nathaniel, Hadassah, Jonathan Jr., James, and Ciriniti.
